H. Moretz, MD
Chairman of the Board
Frank Moretz, MD joined Marc Miller and others in the
formation of MedOasis in January 2002. Throughout the development
of MedOasis, Dr. Moretz has been instrumental in guiding the
Board of Directors through the strategic process of building
a management services organization that caters to the specific
needs of anesthesia practices.
Dr. Moretz provides MedOasis with the
clinical representation and intellectual capital necessary
to provide business solutions that compliment the unique requirements
of a clients clinical environment. His knowledge is
critical to understanding a clients business needs from
a physicians perspective, and he has been instrumental
in the successful development of the leading edge Management
Services Organization.
For the last 25 years, Dr. Moretz has
served as Staff Anesthesiologist and Consulting Anesthesiologist
for several hospitals throughout the Southeastern US. In 1998,
he completed the Physician's Medical Management Course at
the Kenan-Flager School of Business at the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill, and in 2005, he completed the ASA Business Administration course.
From 2002 to 2003, Dr. Moretz served as
the two-term President of the North Carolina Society of Anesthesiologists.
He currently serves as a Delegate from North Carolina to the
American Society of Anesthesiology (ASA) House of Delegates
as well as the Delegate Alternate Director from North Carolina
to the ASA Board of Directors. Dr. Moretz is also a member
of the Procare Coalition Advisory Board as well as the International
Anesthesia Research Society, North Carolina Medical Society,
and Buncombe County Medical Society. Dr. Moretz received his
undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina,
Chapel Hill (UNC-CH). He finished medical school at UNC-CH
in 1974, and in 1978, he completed his residency at the North
Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC.
