J. Miller, MBA, FACMPE
President and C.E.O.
Serving as President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Miller joined Dr. Frank Moretz and others in forming MedOasis. With over eighteen years experience
as a Senior Executive including employment with two Fortune
100 service-related corporations, Mr. Miller has specialized
knowledge and expertise in business development, general management
and operations management, strategic planning as well as advertising
and marketing. As an MBA with extensive background in business
operations, Mr. Miller has provided the leadership and direction
that has afforded MedOasis the reputation of a leading-edge
management services organization.
Since 2001, Mr. Miller has been an active
member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA),
and he is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE). Mr.
Miller is also an active member of the Anesthesia Administration
Assembly, and he is also involved in many activities of the
American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA). By participating
in these societies and networking with various medical specialty leaders
across the nation, Mr. Miller recognizes the ever
changing business needs of medical specialty groups and offers his
knowledge of executive business management to help them rise above these challenges.
Prior to joining MedOasis, he served as
President of Plus, Inc., a Southeastern regional service corporation.
Among his numerous responsibilities, he implemented a formal
expansion plan, developed budging and capital improvements
plan, improved executive management team, and executed the
companys first strategic and business planning process.
Mr. Miller also served as Director of
Channel Development with Sprint Corporation, a $32 billion
telecommunications company. He was recruited by Sprint to
lead their National Integrated Services start-up division
for the integrated portfolio of Sprint products. He played
a key role in developing the Sprint-RadioShack partnership
that included a $90 million advertising and marketing kick-off
campaign. He also executed the global management assignment
of implementing this industry-leading strategic partnership.
Before joining Sprint, he was the Division
Vice President with McLane Company, a $21 billion subsidiary
of Wal-Mart. In his role as Vice President, Mr. Miller was
responsible for implementing operational improvements as well
as managing the total sales budget for this division.
He is a graduate of Stetson University
in Deland, Florida, and he received a Masters of Business
Administration from Sam Houston University in Huntsville,
Texas.
